The MFNC is grateful to respected Yorta Yorta Elder UNCLE LANCE JAMES who performed the Welcome To Country prior to the senior netball and football matches this weekend.
Our ceremony took place on the Northern wing immediately following the Reserves football match involving netball & football players, coaches and officials (from both sides) joining umpires and invited guests.
In addition to promoting the GVL Indigenous Round on our scoreboard and flying our new Australian, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island flags (presented to the MFNC by newly elected Member for Nicholls, Sam Birrell) league umpires presiding our senior football match wore new Indigenous themed shirts.
The Mooroopna Football Netball Club is grateful to the Rochester Football Netball Club, Goulburn Valley League, Member for Nicholls Sam Birrell and Uncle Lance James for supporting the 2022 GVL Indigenous Round.
