The 2022 Anzac Round was played in magnificent conditions at the Mooroopna Recreation Reserve the Sunday prior to Anzac Day. Three matches of football and five games of netball filled the program as the Mooroopna Cats competed against the Shepparton United Demons at home.
After wins in the Under 15, Under 17, B Grade netball and Reserves football, A Grade netballers & Senior footballers gathered with umpires and invited guests for a moving Anzac Observance. Cats President Bill Dowling led proceedings, with Vietnam Veteran Brian McInneny recited The Ode followed by Steve Sergeant's rendition of The Last Post and Revielle. Lest we forget.
In an exciting close match our netballers went down to United by 2 goals.
Our senior footballers finished the day with a 59 point win over the Demons.

Next Saturday the Cats head down the Goulburn Valley Highway to Seymour.
